A major concern that I have in today’s world is the inhumane suffering of human beings. I cannot justify or believe that God intended to inflict the punishments we are faced with today on his children. God created the universe and all of its privileges for the enjoyment of all human beings regardless of race, religion or gender. I believe that poverty and greed are the underlying factors of all our conflicts in the world today. Greed has no end which in turn results in poverty having no end. Politicians making impetuous decisions everyday because of their greed are further driving the poor into even more desolate living conditions. Because of their lack of thought and making haste decisions I believe they are the catalyst or driving force in the creation of the poor and suffering human beings. Everyday we hear of new political decisions being made; many of these decisions are made by politicians with one factor in mind which is greed. They are only concerned with the effect such decision will have on themselves, not on the ripple effect and how it will hurt other human beings. Many of us who are privileged enough to live in a first world countries know that many of these decisions are wrong yet we do nothing. It is not that we lack the knowledge or are unaware that people are starving or suffering. The fact is that we just don’t care, unless it affects our lives directly we overlook the suffering of others. I believe we need to get back to the basics and start caring and showing love for all as human beings regardless of race or religion. Rather than create a negative global effect based on greed we should create a positive global effect based on love.
